This was the first 2-minute Super Bowl commercial ever and was used as the platform to launch Chrysler's new tagline "Imported from Detroit". It changed people's perception of the brand overnight, led to 36 consecutive months of increased sales for Chrysler, and won multiple awards including Gold Lions at Cannes, a Grand Effie, and an Emmy.

It even made it into the official congressional record.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Following the success of "Born of Fire", Chrysler delivered a 'Halftime speech to America' during halftime of the Superbowl, and immediately created a national dialogue around the American automotive industry, even spilling over into presidential politics.

Continuing on the theme, we created four 'second half' spots focusing on individual stories and vehicles.

The campaign made such an impact, Fox News looked up who worked on the campaign and called us out personally and SNL spoofed it, with Bill Hader playing Clint Eastwood.

This spot first played during the England vs. USA world cup match. We made print and posters to celebrate the 4th of July.

During Obama's first presidential run, there was an open poster design contest to support the campaign. The winning entries were shown at the Manifest Hope event in Washington DC before his inauguration. The piece I worked on called "Unite the States of America" was picked by a group of judges including Shepard Fairey to be in the show. The poster was also included in several books about the art created around Obama's campaign, including "Design for Obama".
